Swing and a miss.

I'm not sure what we were thinking when we allowed Caleb to play with his ball and bat in the house but we're going to have to outlaw that soon before he breaks a window! Boy does this kid have a swing! Lately though, he thinks it's much more fun to swing with all his might and miss the ball then to actually hit it (kinda like his Tio Joseph. Doh. Haha). That's what we get for introducing him to the "STRIKE!" He also loves to run the bases, except Caleb's base running is more like running around and around in crazy circles.

Of course, Paul and I are very pleased to see Caleb's love for sports. He'll play pretty much any sport that Paul is watching on TV. This weekend Paul was watching the World Cup and Caleb started kicking his kickball around. In a few weeks Caleb and I will begin swim lessons so hopefully he'll be a little swimmer too!

This past weekend we helped his friend, Miles, celebrate his 2 1/2 birthday. It was great to see Miles and his family. We brought Caleb's t-ball set and it was a big hit (pun intended:)! All the kids lined up and waited their turn to hit the ball. Caleb grew impatient with a shy little girl who was just standing there in front of the tee so he started yelling, "HIT IT! HIT IT!" All I could think is, "great, he's gonna grow up to be a heckler!"

Caleb has one...why can't I!?!

Caleb continues to blog his fun adventures, amazing friends with his very articulate thoughts, so I decided it was time to blog mine. Caleb will probably read this one day and want to strangle me for sharing these stories but it's a parents job to embarasse their kid, right? :)
